Terms of service

Effective July 10, 2026

The service

slipside is a boat-provisioning service for Chicago harbors: you build an order in the app, and we shop it and stock your boat at its slip during your chosen window. By creating an account or placing an order you agree to these terms.

Ordering and billing

Items are charged at retail price plus a flat service fee per drop, with an order minimum shown in the app. Your card goes on file at signup but is only charged at fulfillment, after the change cutoff at noon the day before your drop. You can change or skip a drop until the cutoff at no cost. If something is short or substituted, we adjust the charge down before it settles.

Alcohol

Orders containing alcohol require you to be 21 or older. We verify your ID in person on your first drop, and we may decline or adjust any order we can't lawfully fulfill.

Slip access

You're responsible for giving us accurate slip and access details and for having permission to let us aboard. We store gate codes encrypted, use them only to fulfill your drops, and lock up on the way out.

Text messaging (SMS) terms

When you provide your mobile number, you consent to receive text messages from slipside: one-time sign-in codes and service updates about your drops (order confirmations, schedule changes, and payment issues). Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase, but slipside signs you in by text, so the app requires a number that can receive them.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help — you can also reach us at support@slipsidechicago.com. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. See our privacy policy for how we handle your information — your mobile number is never shared with third parties for marketing.

Liability

We stand behind every drop: if we get an order wrong, we'll make it right on the charge. Beyond that, slipside's liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the drop in question, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages to the extent the law allows.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the service evolves; we'll update this page and its effective date when we do. Questions go to support@slipsidechicago.com.
